Report: Bayern prepare second bid for Doué

Despite seeing an initial bid rejected, Bayern Munich remain keen on Désiré Doué, according to Sky Germany.

Bayern Munich are still pushing to sign Stade Rennes' Désiré Doué, Sky Germany reports.

Having had a €35 million opening bid rejected, the Bavarians are understood to be preparing a second offer.

Rennes have communicated that they want €60 million plus add-ons, but the report claims that a realistic price is closer to €45-50 million plus add-ons.

It's also claimed that Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has called Doué to tell him how much he wants him to join the club, with the 19-year-old seen as a replacement for Kingsley Coman, who could be heading for the exit door.

Bayern are keen to have clarity by the end of the week and want to avoid negotiations dragging on for several weeks.

Despite his young age, Doué has made 76 appearances for Rennes, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists.
