With chief financial officer Michael Diederich set to depart September 30, Bayern Munich needs to fill a key position on its board.

With CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen able to cover financial matters, Kicker.de reports that Rouven Kasper remains the top candidate.

The 43-year-old has been VfB Stuttgart's marketing director since January 2022, and his current contract runs until 2028.

However, both in Stuttgart and Munich, it is expected that the Mühlacker native will make a decision about his future in the coming days.

Stuttgart is doing all it can to retain their marketing director who has driven the club's international expansion and added Porsche as a third external shareholder.

The Swabians' supervisory board, comprised of Dietmar Allgaier, Franz Reiner, and Lutz Meschke, is accordingly satisfied and want to extend his future at the club.
