In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we’ll highlight 10 players to consider adding to your team ahead of Matchday 23.
As a rule of thumb, we'll try to steer clear of the most obvious picks, instead focusing mainly on players who could offer great value as differentials.
Felix Agu, Werder Bremen (Defender, 4.24M, 0%)
Agu made his first start under new Werder coach Daniel Thioune last week and looks set to keep his place, especially given his successful time together with the 51-year-old at VfL Osnabrück in the past. His Fantasy return didn't reflect it, but Agu delivered a solid display in a tough outing against FC Bayern Munich, and with St. Pauli and Heidenheim up next, he looks like an excellent budget option.
Ozan Kabak, Hoffenheim (Defender, 6.68M, 4%)
Kabak was mentioned in last week's edition of this article, and those who brought him in were handsomely rewarded with a massive 440-point haul. The centre-back didn't just win his usual share of duels, but also picked up 190 points from attacking returns, including a goal. Kabak has generally posed a threat this season, scoring three times in 13 appearances, and with Hoffenheim enjoying a favourable run of fixtures, he remains a strong defensive pick.
David Raum, RB Leipzig (Defender, 18.34M, 11%)
Back from suspension, Raum is firmly back on the radar – even with a tricky fixture against Borussia Dortmund coming up. Averaging 227 points per game this season, the Leipzig captain is close to fixture-proof, and it's worth noting that Dortmund are dealing with several injuries at the back.
Yuito Suzuki, Freiburg (Midfielder, 3.4M, 1%)
Suzuki has been inconsistent at times, but at just 3.4 million he represents a low-risk punt. Freiburg host an out-of-form Borussia Mönchengladbach side, offering a good opportunity for attacking returns for the Japanese attacking midfielder.
Brajan Gruda, RB Leipzig (Midfielder, 13.44M, 2%)
In just his second Bundesliga appearance since returning to Germany on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, Gruda made a decisive impact with a goal and an assist against Wolfsburg. That performance should boost his confidence ahead of the clash with Dortmund. With his ownership at just 2 percent, the skilled attacking midfielder offers serious differential potential.
Romano Schmid, Werder Bremen (Midfielder, 15.71M, 13%)
Werder’s most reliable Fantasy asset this season, Schmid has delivered consistent returns even during the team’s struggles. With a favourable run of fixtures ahead, he looks close to essential in midfield over the coming weeks.
Michael Olise, FC Bayern (Midfielder, 32.55M, 34%)
Back and fresh following suspension, Olise is an obvious inclusion. The French winger has been involved in a remarkable 28 goals in 21 Bundesliga appearances this season and remains one of the standout premium picks in the game.
Igor Matanovic, Freiburg (Striker, 2.85M, 1%)
Having already found the net five times for Freiburg this season, Matanović looks set to lead the line against a struggling Gladbach side. At under 3 million, he’s one of the standout budget enablers up front this week.
Ermedin Demirovic, Stuttgart (Striker, 5.38M, 1%)
Demirović once again proved decisive last week, bagging a brace against Köln. The Bosnian striker will fancy his chances against bottom-placed Heidenheim, though there is a slight rotation risk following Stuttgart's Europa League clash with Celtic FC on Thursday.
Mohamed Amoura, Wolfsburg (Striker, 13.79M, 5%)
Amoura has scored over 200 Fantasy points in four consecutive games and now heads into a home fixture against FC Augsburg that Wolfsburg will surely be looking to win.
