After a convincing 2-0 success over Atalanta BC tonight, Borussia Dortmund's Julian Brandt expressed his happiness at the first-leg win.
“Overall, we're satisfied with the game. I would have liked us to have scored another goal in the second half. I think we had one or two more chances that we could have taken.
"A 2-0 lead is a bit tricky. But it also gives you a bit of security because you've kept a clean sheet and scored two goals.
“Overall, we're satisfied and will head to Bergamo full of confidence next week,” said Brandt, looking forward to the second-leg tie.
BVB teammate Serhou Guirassy provided a goal and an assist on what was an emotional night for the Guinean marksman.
Upon scoring a goal, he revealed a message under his shirt: 'Missata, I miss you! Rest in peace. You are safe now, in paradise! Poor thing!'
“It was a message to my brother. We are all there for him. It's a tough time for the family. But life goes on. We will all die one day," he told Amazon, paying tribute to his late niece.
