Before next week’s Bundesliga top-of-the-table clash with Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich face Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

Despite the looming ‘Der Klassiker’ clash, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany insists he is focusing on one game at a time.

“You have the BVB game in mind, but we don't. I'm only focused on the Frankfurt game,” he said at a press conference on Friday.

Jonathan Tah, Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are all just one yellow card away from suspension for next week’s Klassiker, but Kompany insists that isn't on his mind.

“We know the situation with suspensions due to yellow cards, but you can't plan everything. The only important thing is that we win at home against Frankfurt. There’s no hierarchy – every game is important," he said.

“Starting next week, we can all enjoy that ‘Klassiker’ feeling together. But right now, it’s all about Frankfurt. The suspensions are not an issue; we have to be smart, but you can’t plan everything.”

Saturday’s game between Bayern and Eintracht kicks off at 15:30 CET.
