Bayern Munich experienced a lot of online traffic on their online store this morning as the release of their 125th-anniversary kit sent fans into a frenzy.

Fears started to arise around midday as supporters hoping to get their hands on the limited-edition kit couldn’t do so.

There was even some speculation that the Bavarian giants had sold out due to increased demand and a large global fanbase.

Worries were promptly allayed when it was announced that Bayern’s online site experienced technical problems with their servers oversaturated.

Shortly after 5pm (CET), it was announced that the web store was back up and running for fans keen to acquire the new trikot.

The commemorative kit designed by Adidas features a more traditional red with snazzy golden features and a Bavarian laurel wreath around the crest.

Die Rekordmeister will don the new jersey against VfL Bochum on the 8th of March, while the Bayern women’s team will wear it for the first time when they face Wolfsburg a week later on March 14th.
