"It's better to stay a bit mysterious" - Musiala on potential new deal

“I can't say much right now. It's better to stay a bit mysterious,” said Musiala. “I am really happy here; I hope that you can see that.”

There is no particular timeframe in mind regarding a potential new deal for Bayern's starlet, with his current contract running until 2026. The current focus of the midfielder remains on the medium-term goals of Bayern München under Vincent Kompany.

“In the winter break, I can take a little more time.”

Veteran teammate Thomas Müller also gave his thoughts on the speculation.

“I believe that Jamal knows how important he is with the fans, how people love him. Not only in Bavaria, but throughout Germany.”

However, as is the sporting world, performances similar to the one delivered at the MEWA Arena on Wednesday evening will only spark further speculation as to whether the future of Musiala lies in München.

Musiala has been involved in 11 goals thus far in the campaign, with seven goals and four assists, with Bayern currently sitting at the top of the Bundesliga and have comfortably secured their place in the last 16 of the DFB-Pokal.
