Eintracht Braunschweig have officially announced the signing of central defender Louis Breunig from Jahn Regensburg.

The 21-year-old has signed a contract with Eintracht until 2028, with an option to extend the deal by a further year.

According to the club's report, Breunig has already arrived at the training camp in Tyrol and is available to join the team immediately.

"We had a clear plan early on to add a left-footer to our central defense to allow us to be even more flexible in our build-up play.

"Louis brings a strong left foot, but also the necessary pace and defensive aggression that we need in this position," said sporting director Benjamin Kessel.
