Schalke coach Miron Muslic is apparently planning on leaving Ron Schallenberg, according to BILD.

The report states that the defensive midfielder was informed by his agent that he should look for a new club.

The second-division club is already searching for a suitable replacement for the 26-year-old German.

Schallenberg moved from SC Paderborn to Schalke 2 years ago from SC Paderborn for €2million, but failed to deliver the desired performances.

Last season, the sweeper, who was forced to play primarily as a center-back, was still an undisputed regular.

With just one year left before the end of his contract, Schalke is pushing for an early departure.
