20-year-old winger Samuel Bamba is joining VfL Bochum on a free transfer, with his contract with Borussia Dortmund set to expire.

Bochum confirmed the signing of the youngster on Wednesday, revealing that he has signed a contract until 2027.

"Samuel is a highly talented player who increases our flexibility and quality in attack," said Bochum sporting director Marc Lettau.

"With Samuel, we have signed an exciting player who fits our profile and has a lot of development potential. The fact that he has already proven his qualities at international youth level shows us that he has a lot to offer in terms of asserting himself at VfL and in the Bundesliga".

Bamba added that he's "delighted" to be joining Bochum.

"There is nothing better than playing in the Bundesliga. It's what I dreamed of as a young footballer. I've already experienced this feeling twice and I want to experience it many more times with VfL Bochum.

I also want to win over the Bochum fans with my unorthodox style of play, I am a very hungry player and will give everything for VfL."
