After weeks on the sidelines with a broken rib, Manuel Neuer will be back in goal for Bayern Munich when they take on Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday.

Daniel Peretz, who filled in for the 38-year-old during his absence, will not be available after suffering a kidney contusion in training.

“It's fortune and misfortune at once. Luckily Manuel Neuer is back The unlucky thing is that Daniel Peretz will be out for a few weeks,” said Bayern coach Vincent Kompany at a press conference on Friday.

“We don't know exactly how long. It's not that bad. We hope he can be back by the end of the month or start of next month. He'll get the time he needs. Sven Ulreich is also back again.”

Bayern released a statement on Thursday revealing that Jamal Musiala was still unable to return to training due to a severe cold.

As a result, the 21-year-old will miss the game against Gladbach, with Kompany making no secret of the fact that he'll be hard to replace.

“Jamal is in that category where you can't replace him one-for-one. But that doesn't mean we have different demands. We want to win. Jamal will be back really soon. It's normal not to have every player available. We've had that already this season,” said Kompany.
