In addition to the suspended Rani Khedira, 1. FC Union Berlin will be without Frederik Rønnow, Josip Juranovic and Ivan Prtajin for Saturday's Bundesliga away game against Heidenheim.

The German capital club confirmed this at a press conference on Friday.

With Rønnow unavailable, Alexander Schwolow is expected to be in between the sticks for Steffen Baumgart's first game in charge.

It remains unclear when the Danish goalkeeper will be able to return from the elbow injury that also kept him out of Union's last game of 2024.

Juranovic appeared to have a good chance of starting at right-back, but Christopher Trimmel now looks set to take that role.
