L'Équipe report: Wolfsburg to send Cozza back to Nantes

France's preeminent sporting publication reports that VfL Wolfsburg and FC Nantes have agreed on a new loan out to sent left-back Nicolas Cozza back to Brittany.

Nicolas Cozza's recent loan-out to FC Nantes is set to be extended by a further year. France's L'Équipe reports that VfL Wolfsburg have again decided they have no use for the 25-year-old they signed in January of 2023. To date, Cozza has made just 11 Bundesliga appearances. A few training camp auditions under VfL trainer Ralph Hasenhüttl this summer yielded no new conclusions.

Cozza made 13 Ligue 1 appearances last year compared with his six league and one Pokal deployment for Germany's green company team. The former French youth international remains under contract in Lower Saxony's northern Autostadt through 2027. He maintains an estimated market worth of €3.5 million, down from a peak of €5 million when Wolfsburg signed him for a reported €500,000.
