Heidenheim's Pick switches to Nürnberg

Allowed to depart top division side 1. FC Heidenheim on an expiring contract, German attacking midfielder Florian Pick has moved to 1. FC Nürnberg on a free transfer. After stints with Schalke, Kaiserslautern, Magdeburg, and Ingolstadt, Nürnberg shall be Pick's fifth professional footballing station.
The 28-year-old got his first taste of top flight football with the FCH last season. He made 22 league and two Pokal appearances, notching a tally in each competition. Pick scored his inaugural Bundesliga goal against Köln on the final match-day of the season.
"He [Pick] knows the league very well and his mentality will help us to play a successful season,: FCN sporting director Joti Chatzialexiou noted in a club statement. "Florian is a classic winger with great pace, good technique and a strong right foot. We're pleased that 'Picki' has chosen us."
"I'm looking forward to my new challenge here at the club after four years of success at 1. FC Heidenheim," the player himself added, "I want to help a young and hungry team with my experience and qualities."
