Amid ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City, Omar Marmoush continues to deliver on the pitch for Eintracht Frankfurt.

On Tuesday, the Egyptian striker scored a goal before laying on two assists to help his side to an emphatic 4-1 win over SC Freiburg.

Prior to the game, there were doubts as to whether Marmoush would play at all due to the Manchester City situation.

But as Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche insisted in a post-match interview, the 25-year-old will continue to play as long as there is no breakthrough in the transfer saga.

"He's an Eintracht Frankfurt player, why shouldn't he play?" Krösche asked rhetorically.

"I've already said that there is interest from a club and there's nothing more to say at the moment. There is no other situation.

“We will see what the future holds in the next few days. And as long as he's an Eintracht Frankfurt player and continues to perform, he'll play.”

Eintracht continue their Bundesliga campaign against Borussia Dortmund on Friday.
