Liverpool reject Bayern approach for Luis Diaz

Multiple reports from England claim that Liverpool have rejected Bayern Munich’s interest in Luis Díaz.

Liverpool have turned down interest from Bayern Munich in Luis Díaz, according to reports from England.

Bild, Sky Germany, and Fabrizio Romano all reported on Thursday evening that Bayern had made an approach for the Colombia international.

However, according to a number of English outlets, including Sky Sports and The Times, Liverpool swiftly rejected Bayern’s approach, as Díaz is not for sale.

Bayern will therefore have to focus on alternative targets as they continue their search for a new winger.

Their two top targets for the position - Athletic Club’s Nico Williams and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola - both now look very unlikely to join at this point.

Bayern have also shown interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens, but he is now close to joining Chelsea.

Other names being mentioned include AC Milan’s Rafael Leão, Lyon’s Malick Fofana and Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.
