Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz have played well together for Germany, causing defenders all sorts of problems.

This has prompted speculation that they could play together at club level in the future - possibly at Bayern Munich, who are said to be keen on signing Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

"I can imagine that, but it would be expensive," Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann said at a press conference on Monday when asked about the prospect of that.

"Rudi [Völler], the businessman, negotiated Flo's contract. I don't know how expensive it would be, but it would be expensive.

"There is definitely a lot of work to be done, no matter which club it is. Signing both of them would be very expensive. Extending one and buying the other would also be very expensive," Nagelsmann noted.

Musiala is under contract with Bayern until 2026. Wirtz' contract with Leverkusen runs until 2027.
