Nagelsmann opens up on Bayern links: "I don't have a written offer"

Julian Nagelsmann has responded to speculation that he could return to Bayern after the Euros as Thomas Tuchel's successor.

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann is reportedly one of the leading candidates to replace Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich boss in the summer.

However, according to Nagelsmann, whose deal as Germany coach expires after the Euros, there have been no talks between him and Bayern.

"I don't have a written offer and there have been no talks yet," he told RTL.

Nagelsmann, who coached Bayern between July 2021 and March 2023, when he was replaced by Tuchel, added that he's still thinking about what his next step will be.

"I'm still in the phase where I'm thinking about how things will go from a professional point of view," Nagelsmann said.

"I think it's normal to consider and discuss everything. Then at some point a decision will be made, I don't have a fixed date yet.

“I think there are a couple of clubs and a couple of things that might come at some point, but at the moment I don't have anything ready to sign where I say: 'OK, now I'm going to sign'. I'm still in the phase of thinking about what happens next.”
