Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has made progress in his recovery from a calf injury.

The Bavarian giants have announced that the 39-year-old completed a running session on Monday morning.

Neuer was edging closer to a return from the torn muscle fibre he suffered in Bayern's win over Bayer Leverkusen earlier this month, but suffered a setback during the international break.

He is expected to miss at least the next two games against Augsburg (4 April) and Inter (8 April).

Jonas Urbig will continue to deputise for the veteran while he's out.
