New Stuttgart signing admits he's a Bayern fan

Fabian Rieder recently completed a move to VfB Stuttgart on loan from Stade Rennes for the 2024/25 season.

But it's Bayern Munich, not Stuttgart, that he's been watching most closely in the past.

"I've always followed Bayern because my favorite players have always played there, first Toni Kroos, then Thiago Alcantara," Rieder said at a press conference in the Swiss national team camp on Wednesday.

"I've also always admired Joshua Kimmich. So I'm a bit of a Bayern sympathizer, if you can call it that. But of course I'll give everything for Stuttgart," Rieder added.

Rieder has played in all three of Switzerland's matches at Euro 2024. Most recently, he started against Germany.
