New Stuttgart coach Weinzierl is inspired by Guardiola

In Markus Weinzierl, VfB Stuttgart have appointed a coach who has learned from Pep Guardiola himself.

    On Tuesday, it was announced that Markus Weinzierl has been hired as the new VfB Stuttgart coach - his first job since leaving Schalke 04 15 months ago.

    Since then, he has spent a lot of time with his family, but according to Bild, he has also been worked on becoming a better coach by learning from no other than Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

    Apparently, Weinzierl spent a week in Manchester where he wacthed every Manchester City training and spent hours talking to Guardiola afterwards.

    Now, time will tell if Weinzierl will be able to put some of Guardiola's advice into practice at the Mercedes-Benz Arena...
