Marius Bülter has said fairwell to TSG Hoffenheim to complete his move to 1.FC Köln, both clubs have announced.

The 32-year-old has signed a contract at the newly promoted Bundesliga side until 2027 and has the option of a one-year extension.

Bülter's long-time agent Michael Stuckmann supposedly played a vital role in the negotiation between the Kraichgauers and Effzeh.

"Marius performed well here over the past two years and has always been a valued team player," said TSG sporting director Andreas Schicker.

"Now, Marius approached us with the request to leave TSG for Cologne based on an offer that suits him both personally and athletically.

“After considering a contract expiring after the coming season and a corresponding transfer fee, we approved the transfer after intensive and trusting discussions,” he added.

Bülter, who moved from Schalke in July 2023, made a total of 63 competitive appearances while providing 10 goals and 9 assists.
