Hamburger SV are believed to be exploring their options in France as they continue their search for a new central defender.

Warmed Omari, currently of Stade Rennais, is reportedly on the Hanseatic club's radar, according to Fußball Transfers.

However, HSV isn't alone - fellow Ligue 1 side Stade Brest and Italian outfit Udinese have also approached the 25-year-old.

The Serie A club, in particular, are vying for the Comoros international's favor who made just 4 appearances on loan at Lyon last season.

At the same time, Hamburg is in talks with FC Bologna about a transfer of Stefan Posch, although a deal has not yet been finalized.

It remains unclear whether the newly promoted Bundesliga club considers Omari as an alternative or even considers signing both.
