Bundesliga player of the month for September: The six candidates

The six nominees for the Bundesliga's first Player of the Month award have been announced.

    The Bundesliga Player of the Month award is set to be handed out for the first time as the six candidates for September have been revealed.

    It's a brand new award that has been created in cooperation between the DFL and the EA Sports FIFA 19. According to Bundesliga.com, "it will be awarded in a two-stage selection process that will consider both the players' individual performance data and a vote by fans and experts."

    The winner will be given a special FIFA Ultimate Team card with boosted stats in FIFA 19.

    The six candidates for the September award are Ondrej Duda (Hertha BSC), Max Kruse (Werder Bremen), Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund), Timo Werner (RB Leipzig), Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Alassane Pléa (Borussia Mönchengladbach).
