Alphonso Davies tests positive for coronavirus

Bayern München have confirmed that Alphonso Davies has tested positive for coronavirus.
Alphonso Davies has become the latest Bayern München player to test positive for COVID-19, taking the club's current number of corona cases to nine.

The Bavarians have been hit by a number of positive tests ahead of their Bundesliga clash with Gladbach on Friday, with the likes of Manuel Neuer, Dayot Upamecano and Leroy Sané also sidelined after returning positive test results.

After a phone call with Bayern board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic, Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl revealed at a press conference today that the Bavarians are looking to get Friday's game postponed.

The decision, however, is ultimately up to the German Football League (DFL). If Bayern don't have at least 15 eligible players, including nine outfield players from the first team and one goalkeeper, the game could be postponed.

Bayern had just 10 outfield players in training today.
