Bayer Leverkusen have officially confirmed the departure of Lukáš Hradecky who has completed his move to AS Monaco.

The Finnish international joins the Ligue 1 principality club on a two-year deal, while Die Werkself pocket €4million in the process.

“Despite his contract still being valid for a year, we have granted Lukas Hradecky early release after very friendly discussions.

"It was his wish to be able to play as the number one in the Champions League once again after a fantastic and intense time at Bayer 04,” said sporting director Simon Rolfes.

With the arrival of Mark Flekken from Premier League side Brentford, Hradecky was always going to struggle for game time this season.

All in all, Hradecky spent 7 years at Leverkusen where he played 286 games and captained them to a Bundesliga and DfB-Pokal double in 2023-24.
