Lennart Karl has signed a long-term contract with Bayern Munich today, both the club and Sky Germany have confirmed.

The 17-year-old's agent, Michael Ballack, was also present for the negotiations which are said to have gone positively.

One clear decision from a Bayern perspective is that Karl will not be sent out on loan for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign.

The German youngster, born in the Bavarian town of Frammersbach, is set to be part of the first-team squad for this season.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Wisdom Mike has also penned a new deal with the Bavarians alongside Karl.

Both players featured in Bayern's 4-0 friendly triumph over Tottenham Hotspur on August 7, with Karl finding the net as a substitute.

“Lennart Karl and Wisdom Mike have been at the FC Bayern Campus for years, they’ve always been defining players of their teams.

"Lennart is bold, dangerous in front of goal, technically gifted with close ball control in one-on-one situations and very versatile in attack.

“Wisdom has good acceleration, he’s explosive, dynamic and has good finishing skills – a winger we at FC Bayern like to see,” said sporting director Christoph Freund.
