Szalai set for move to Switzerland

Mainz forward Adam Szalai will join FC Basel on a free transfer.

The 34-year-old striker's contract, which was due to expire until the end of the season, has been terminated to make the transfer possible.
Szalai has spent the majority of his career in Germany, scoring 54 goals in 276 appearances for Mainz, Schalke 04, Hoffenheim and Hannover 96.
The Hungarian veteran has been limited to 12 league games for Mainz this season with one goal to his name.
