Fantasy Bundesliga: Template team and potential transfers for Matchday 23
Our transfers for Matchday 22 went well, with both Hofmann and Angeliño scoring, and the template team registered a healthy score. Now we head into Matchday 23, where we will be looking to attack the fixtures as the team looks settled, and transfers can be made to get the best players for the fixtures.
In this article, we take a look at our selected template team as well as the players we can target to bring in this matchday, using our 3 transfers.
In this regard, the word 'template' refers to players who are highly owned, regularly scoring good fantasy points and being main players for their teams.
Below, you'll find the template team from last week and the latest Fantasy score of each player.
Goalkeepers:
Mark Flekken, Freiburg (7.8M), 7 points
Manuel Riemann, Bochum (5.8M), 0 points
Defenders:
Benjamin Pavard, Bayern (12.2M), -2 points
Aarón Martín, Mainz (3.6M), 3 points
Jeremie Frimpong, Leverkusen (8M), 8 points
Christopher Trimmel, Union Berlin (10.4M), -4 points
Angelino, RB Leipzig (14.9M), 9 points
Midfielders:
Jonas Hofmann, Gladbach (15.3M), 20 points
Jesper Lindstrøm, Frankfurt (9M), 12 points
Vincenzo Grifo, Freiburg (15.5M), 11 points
Christopher Nkunku, RB Leipzig (18.2M), 12 points
Florian Wirtz, Leverkusen (14.8M), 21 points
Strikers:
Robert Lewandowski, Bayern (22.9M), 18 points
Thomas Müller, Bayern (20.1M), 6 points
Patrik Schick, Leverkusen (16.7M), 12 points
TRANSFER 1:
Jesper Lindstrøm OUT, Joshua Kimmich IN
Though Bayern have not been in the best of form, losing against Bochum and just managing to draw their UCL match against Salzburg, I do expect them to bounce back and put in a good performance against Fürth. With a dearth of midfield options, Kimmich is the one to pick as he will be orchestrating the Bayern attack from midfield and is expected to do well against bottom-placed Fürth.
TRANSFER 2:
Christopher Trimmel OUT, Nico Schlotterbeck IN
Freiburg have not been playing up to their potential, only managing a draw against Mainz last game. However, Schlotterbeck still managed to get 10 points. With a match against Augsburg, who have been shot shy, Schlotterbeck can contribute defensively as well as offensively.
TRANSFER 3:
Patrik Schick OUT, André Silva IN
There is a certain risk associated with this move, and it's only done as I have one spare transfer and looking to attack the matchday. Silva is up against one of the worst defenses in the league and look to continue his goal scoring run against Hertha BSC.
