Just around two weeks before their Champions League last 16 return leg against Bayern München, RB Salzburg have been hit by a coronavirus outbreak.

The Austrian champions have announced that a total of 15 people among players and staff returned positive COVID-19 tests yesterday.

"Currently, we are still ready to train and play. However, we must now monitor the further development of the uninfected players very closely in coordination with our medical department and react if necessary," explained Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund.

Salzburg and Bayern drew 1-1 in the first leg. The return leg will take place at Allianz Arena on March 8.
