BVB boss: Atlético defeat sharpens the senses for Saturday
Hans-Joachim Watzke says it's not all bad that Borussia Dortmund lost their first game of the season to Atlético Madrid this week.
But the defeat is not entirely a bad thing, Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke says ahead of Saturday's important Bundesliga clash with Bayern München.
"On the one hand, you think it's a shame, but on the other hand, I'm glad that our long streak is now over. That sharpens the senses for Saturday. Every team needs that now and then," the Dortmund boss told WAZ.
Asked if he believes that there is more pressure on Bayern than on Dortmund, Watzke replied:
"Yes, I think so, because of how the table looks at the moment and their expectations."
Borussia Dortmund are top of the Bundesliga, four points ahead of Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayern München.
