Timo Werner targets further improvement after brace against Italy

Timo Werner was pleased to get on the scoresheet twice in Germany's emphatic 5-2 UEFA Nations League victory over Italy last night, but pointed out he can still improve his game in certain areas.
After four games without scoring for Germany, Timo Werner was back on the scoresheet last night, bagging a brace in his side's comfortable 5-2 win over Italy in the UEFA Nations League.

Speaking after the game, Werner expressed delight with his performance, but emphasized he can still improve his game.

"Of course it was nice to score twice tonight, goals are always enjoyable. I always try to give my best for the team so it was nice to be rewarded with two goals. I'm still working on other aspects of my game though, because there were things I did well and a few things I didn't," Werner said after the game, according to UEFA.com.

"We wanted to get at our opponents early and disrupt their game which we managed to do very well tonight. This was the first match out of the four where we were able to dominate the game, execute our pressing and show what we're really capable of."
