Germany vs. Italy preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Here's our preview for tonight's UEFA Nations League clash between Germany and Italy.
Germany will be fired up to return to winning ways when they play their fourth and last UEFA Nations League game this month against European champions Italy at Borussia-Park in Mönchengladbach tonight.

Having shared the spoils with Hungary after a disappointing display in Budapest, Hansi Flick's side are coming off their fourth 1-1 draw in a row, currently sitting third in Group 3.

"There has been a feeling of disappointment, but we don't have to bury our heads in the sand," said captain and first-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer at the pre-match press conference and added:

"We're full of motivation and hunger. We may have lacked creativity and the cutting edge but we have shown the right attitude in every game."

With the hectic schedule taking its toll on the players, the question is how much Flick will rotate for tonight's game.

Looking to rediscover his best form, Leroy Sané is one of the players, who could come into the starting line-up.

"Leroy has the incredible potential to be able to help out the team," Flick said on the Bayern winger, who watched the whole match against Hungary from the bench.

"He performed extremely well for the team between September and November. That is his baseline and we have to help him to get back to that level of performance," he added.

Germany will definitely be without Nico Schlotterbeck, who is suspended, while the likes of David Raum and Kai Havertz could be given a rest.
