Official: Matondo leaves Schalke for Rangers
Rabbi Matondo's transfer from Schalke 04 to Rangers has now been confirmed.
Rangers FC have completed the signing of Welsh international Rabbi Matondo on a permanent basis from Schalke 04.
Matondo has signed a four-year contract with the Scottish Premiership club.
"Rabbi played a very good season in Belgium," stated Schalke sporting director Rouven Schröder, referring to Matondo's spell out on loan at Cercle Brügge last season.
"Nevertheless, we communicated openly with him that we could not include him in our plans for the new season for financial reasons. He handled it in a highly professional manner. Now we wish him all the best for his private and professional future." sports director Rouven Schröder.
Matondo scored two goals in 31 games for 'The Royal Blues'.
