Jerome Onguené's contract with Eintracht Frankfurt has finally been terminated. The 27-year-old departs the SGE having not made one single competitive appearance since being signed two Januarys ago. Eintracht twice loaned the former RB Salzburg professional out to no avail and Eintracht have been hoping to shed themselves of him for quite some time.

The RheinMain club confirmed on Saturday that Onguené's working papers - originally slated to keep him in Frankfurt through 2027 - were terminated by mutual consent. Injuries and issues form issues left the defender drawing a large paycheck as a piece of dead-weight on Eintracht's roster. Onguené's estimated market worth has sunk to a career low €400,000.
