Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke has provided an update on recovery of Sebastien Haller.

Haller has been undergoing chemotherapy since he had a malignant testicular tumor removed in the summer, and Watzke has now revealed that the 28-year-old striker could return to training before the end of the year.

"Sébastien and I met last Tuesday, and there he told me that he will soon be done with his chemotherapy treatment," Watzke told Sport Bild:

"We have high hopes that he may be able to rejoin the team towards the second half of the season.

"But he decides that on his own. We do not want to and must not put him under pressure. He will be given all the time in the world."
