Speaking at a press conference at Bayern München's training camp in Doha, Qatar, 18-year-old Alphonso Davies revealed he considers teammate Thiago Alcantara a role model.

The 18-year-old has officially completed his €10 million move from Vancouver Whitecaps this month, but has been training with the Bayern squad since November - and Thiago has caught his eye in particular.

"It's a real honor to be able to play for this club and share the pitch with these players. I've been watching Thiago, for example, quite closely in training - he is a role model for me," Davies said as quoted by the club.

"The conditions here are ideal and I'm settling in well. We're training hard every day and I'm giving 100 percent," the Canadian international told reporters.

The Canadian winger has signed a contract with Bayern München that runs until the summer of 2023.
