Lothar Matthäus predicts the final Bundesliga table

Former German international Lothar Matthäus has made a prediction on how the Bundesliga table could look after the last game of the season.
The Bundesliga is finally back - and going into the second half of the season, Sport Bild has asked German international appearance record holder Lothar Matthäus to predict how the table could look after the end of the 2018/19 season.

Matthäus believes Borussia Dortmund will narrowly clinch the Bundesliga title in front of Bayern München, RB Leipzig and Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Looking at the other end of the table, the former Bayern München player estimates Hannover 96 and FC Nürnberg will be directly relegated while Fortuna Düsseldorf will end up in the relegation play-off position.

Here's how Matthäus believes the Bundesliga table will look after the last game of the 2018/19 season:
