Their long losing streak finally halted, FC Union Berlin captain Christopher Trimmel expressed confidence that his team could build upon Wednesday's Champions' League draw when conducting his post-match interview with German broadcaster DAZN.

"The longer such a negative streak lasts, the more your self-confidence dwindles," Trimmel told his interviewer, "You could see that, you could feel it. We spoke to each other a lot. We also tried to push each other off the pitch. I think you could see today that this is back."
"We did an outstanding job in defense today," Trimmel continued, "Everyone was there for one another. We fought for 90 minutes. It was very open at times, but on both sides - and that's the nice thing. We also had enough chances to score. That feels very good."
"Hopefully this can energize us over the next few weeks," the skipper concluded towards the end of his interview, "but of course I know how football works. We have to keep working hard so that we can pick it up in the league."
