Newcastle United could face competition in their reported pursuit of Hoffenheim's Joelinton.

According to Bild, three clubs tried to sign the Brazilian striker in January and offered up to €50 million for him.

However, Hoffenheim didn't want to sell Joelinton at the time, because he's seen as a vital player in their striving for European football.

According to a recent Sport1 report, Newcastle and Hoffenheim are in talks over a deal with a transfer fee of around €60 million in question. But Bild understands that a deal isn't over the line yet.
