Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro has reiterated that Florian Wirtz will remain at the club beyond the summer.

Wirtz, one of the most hyped youngsters in world football, has been linked with a number of top European clubs.

However, Carro is adamant that the 20-year-old will still be a Leverkusen player next season.

"He will definitely stay here 100 percent this year," Carro told Onda Cero.

Wirtz's coach, Xabi Alonso, recently confirmed that he won't be going anywhere at the end of the season, and that only adds to the 20-year-old's arguments for staying, according to Carro.

"The fact that Xabi Alonso is staying is an added incentive," said Carro.
