'Die Werkself' lost an offensive midfielder on Wednesday when Julian Brandt left to join Dortmund in a €25 million deal.
Leverkusen boss Rudi Völler subsequently made it clear that the club have already signed a replacement for Brandt in Kerem Demirbay who has completed a €32 million move from Hoffenheim.
But according to Kicker, it's certainly not unlikely that Leverkusen will look to further add to their offensive depth.
Amiri, who has a release clause of €15 million, is set to hold talks with Hoffenheim about a potential extension of his contract, which runs until 2020, before making a decision on his future.
The 22-year-old scored three goals and made three assists in 15 appearances for Hoffenheim in the 2018/19 season after missing out on the first half of the campaign due to an injury.
