Bayern München may have made the wrong decision when they sold Toni Kroos to Real Madrid for €25 million in 2014, says club president Uli Hoeness.

"A football club have to make tough decision sometimes. That was a difficult decision - and perhaps the wrong one," Hoeness says in the documentary 'Kroos', which will be premiering in June, according to SID.

Kroos himself says he was looking for more first-team action than he was getting at Bayern at the time.

"I was often told how great I was, and how I was doing everything right, but I didn't play," he explains.

The central midfielder has been an important player for Real Madrid ever since he completed his move from Bayern. So far, he has made 233 appearances for the Spanish capital club with 13 goals and 59 assists to his name.
