Speaking in an interview with Bild, Stark said:
"Everyone knows that the transfer period will last until the end of August. Until then, a lot can still happen in football. As things look now, I will stay here. I'm concentrating one hundred percent on my tasks here, and I'm looking forward to working with the new team of coaches."
Until the end of June, Stark could have left via a €25 million release clause, but didn't do so.
The new Hertha coach, Ante Covic, is hopeful the 24-year-old will stay and wants to promote him to vice-captain, as per Bild.
Stark made 25 appearances for Hertha last season.
