Eintracht Frankfurt have lined up Hannover 96's Waldemar Anton as an alternative to Martin Hinteregger from Augsburg, Bild understands.

'Die Adler' have made it clear that they want to sign Hinteregger who spent the second half of last season on loan at Commerzbank-Arena. But Frankfurt boss Fredi Bobic recently admitted that negotiations with Augsburg have stalled.

Apparently, Bobic see Anton as the most ideal alternative to Hinteregger if it turns out impossible to reach an agreement with Augsburg, and the Frankfurt boss has reportedly already contacted the Hannover defender and his agent.

According to reports, Hannover want €10 million for Anton.
