FC Augsburg are moving closer to the signing of RB Leipzig keeper Yvon Mvogo, Kicker reports.

According to the German news outlet, negotiations between the two clubs are well underway.

Augsburg are willing to pay €5 million to sign the 25-year-old, but RB Leipzig want €6 million to let him leave.

'Die Fuggerstädter' are looking for a new first-choice keeper after Gregor Kobel's loan spell ended after the 2018/19 season. The Hoffenheim keeper has since completed a move to VfB Stuttgart on loan for the upcoming season.

Mvogo has been in the shadow of Peter Gulacsi at RB Leipzig since he joined the club in 2017 and has made just 13 appearances for 'Die Roten Bullen' in total.
