Eintracht Frankfurt are understood to be nearing the signing of Napoli midfielder Marko Rog.

Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the 23-year-old is expected to join Frankfurt for around €20 million – a fee that would make him the club's most expensive signing of all-time.

Napoli brought Rog to Italy from Dinamo Zagreb for €13,5 million in 2017, and he has gone on to make 67 appearances for the club with two goals and two assists to his name. The central midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla.

Frankfurt recently smashed their transfer record by paying €9 million to sign Djibril Sow from Young Boys. Unfortunately for 'Die Adler', the 22-year-old has since suffered a hamstring injury that is expected to keep him out until September.
