Michael Zetterer has officially left Werder Bremen to join Eintracht Frankfurt on a permanent basis.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper joins Eintracht following Kevin Trapp's departure to Paris FC and has signed a contract running until 2029.

“Michael Zetterer is a strong goalkeeper who is also a very good footballer,” said Eintracht Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche.

“He showed in Bremen that he is much better than the average goalkeeper, and with his mindset and ambitions, he will be a perfect fit for us here in Frankfurt. It was particularly important for us to go into the new season with a strong and balanced group of goalkeepers, and Michael will be a very important part of that.”
