Victor Boniface is closing in on a move to AC Milan, according to multiple sources like Sky Germany and Sacha Tavolieri.

The Italian club and Bayer Leverkusen are in direct talks to finalize a permanent transfer for the Nigerian international.

In the last 48 hours, Milan submitted an official offer, which the Rhinelanders are currently reviewing thoroughly.

It is rumoured that the deal includes an initial year-long loan with an option to purchase for around €35million next summer.

All parties are confident that the deal will go through with Milan's sporting director Igli Tare actively pursuing Boniface's transfer.

Boniface has already reached an agreement in principle with Milan and is now awaiting the final green light.

Last season, Leverkusen's marksman managed just 19 Bundesliga appearances while providing 8 goals and a solitary assist.
