Claudio Echeverri to Bayer Leverkusen is a done deal, as reported by Sky Germany this afternoon, August 19.
Borussia Dortmund submitted an official offer, but have now been informed that Echeverri will join fellow Bundesliga side Leverkusen.
A full agreement has been reached with Manchester City following the prior verbal agreement with the 19-year-old playmaker.
It’s a one-year loan without an option to buy. Medical scheduled for tomorrow, August 20, once the final paperwork is completed.
The young talent is also expected to be in the squad for Saturday’s home Bundesliga match against TSG Hoffenheim.
According to Kicker.de, Echeverri is expected to line out in the offensive right half-space of Erik ten Hag's 3-4-3 system behind the striker.
Echeverri already demonstrated his talents at the FIFA Club World Cup, scoring a free kick in the Citizens' 6-0 win over Al-Ain on June 22.
